How to Stop Being Your Own Worst Critic

Be Your Own Best Friend: 6 Ways to Overcome Self-Criticism – In this podcast episode, I unpack the best ways to conquer the devastating habit of self-criticism through six practices, all while learning to become a friend to yourself and foster more kind and mindful thoughts.

Learn about the destructive habit of self-criticism and how to overcome it by listening to this episode. I’ll unpack six practices for corralling one’s critical voice and treating oneself with compassion. These practices include being a friend to oneself, journaling, being mindful, practicing self-care, expressing gratitude, and challenging negative thoughts. By taking time to implement these practices, we can ultimately foster self-kindness and spread kindness to those around us.

When we practice self-care and mindfulness, it promotes self-kindness, compassion and mindful practices that keep us present – so we aren’t so focused on the past where we can beat ourselves up – and in the present moment, there’s really nothing wrong with us.

In this episode, you will learn the following:

  1. How can you become a friend to yourself instead of your own worst critic?
  2. What are the benefits of journaling to reduce stress and anxiety?
  3. How can we challenge our negativity and foster self-compassion in our daily lives?

And more!

I’m grateful you’re here, and I look forward to guiding you towards forgiveness in your life through this podcast. If you enjoy the show, please share it with someone you think might also find it beneficial. Thanks so much for listening!
