There are five ways to tell if you have forgiven someone. The first is when you can think of them without thinking of the hurt they caused you. The second is if you would help them if they needed your help. Third is if you can think positive thoughts about them. Fourth is if you are no longer thinking of wanting revenge. And fifth is when you have stopped looking for them to fail.
Forgiveness is a conscious choice to remove the desire to get even with someone who has hurt you. And it is powerful when you can get to the place of forgiveness, it can bring you peace.
